I am looking at surge protection for my audio/ht system. Adding filtering capabilities is an extra plus.
Does the Gatekeeper protect against power surges, lightning strikes?Does it allow any of the surges to get through?
What happens to its ability to protect after a surge?
Can I use just one Gatekeeper? My system consists of:
* AKSA monoblock amps
* BentAudio TX102 transformer based passive (no plug) pre-amp
* NAD DVD/CD player
* Ack! dAck! digital processor (battery uses a brick that needs power)
* Toshiba 34HF83 34" HDTV
* Toshiba vcr
Everything is plugged in directly to the wall outlets which are hospital grade Leviton.
I'm researching options that provide surge protections and that do not sacrifice audio/video performance.
