In your post replying to mobile homeless' request for info. on coupling cap values, you said you were surprised he hadn't changed (increased) the value of the .047 cap. Curious about a possible mod. to my amps, I looked, but found no such capacitor in the schematic or Moondog parts list. So, which one are you talking about?

Erik, I have been working on a mail to write you back for the EXCELLENT one you sent me earlier; it was very helpful and I appreciate it.

As for the cap in question, in my Moondog, I have an Audio Note paper in oil cap in the first position at C7 that is .047uf at 630v. My C8 cap is .1uf at 630v. Ron ascertained (correctly) that the .047 was installed by the previous owner to better run a subwoofer from putting less strain on the Moondog. He was simply recommending that I return to the stock value of .22uf (or .1uf) in whatever cap I prefer.

In other words, no real mod at all; Ron (and others) were just suggesting I get the amp back to designed specs.
