Well, if you follow the top link on the links page below, you'll arrive at Scott Faller's review of the room I shared with Ron at the Midwest Audiofest. My last gig as Redpoint. Ron's painter got backed up and he had to display the Oris rig au naturale. Youl'll note that Scott said that they sounded pretty good ("to die for" were his words).

I know your focus is one of the damping effects of the paint. Ron and Bert have both commented that these are not perfect devices - that nothing in the physical world is. Bert has said that unless you get really extreme - like housing the horn int a huge, sand-filled box that you'll most likely make matters worse by trying to damp the horn. Ron has commented that some folks have had success sticking lead strips onto the outside of the horn,however.

The bottom line is, that if white doesn't bug ya, that you can live for a long time with 'em.
