Basically what you would need is a 1:1 transformer that converts from balanced to single-ended operation. They are very common devices. You can get good quality ones from Sescom or Jensen. Or I'm sure Electra-Print might even have one in their arsenal.It's a tradeoff to use or not to use a transformer. But then you have hindered yourself by having balanced outputs on your preamp and using long runs of interconnect! You're not going to find too many (if any) SET amps with true balanced inputs though.
