OK … I’ll entertain the idea of having a transformer coupled to the input. I am guessing that this would act as an interstage transformer of sorts. But doesn’t this raise even more questions?
What design or ratio of windings would be needed?
How much effort is needed in transformer design to match the impedance of both balance input and input to the actual driver stage?
Would the ground (shield) of the balance input reject the grounding from the amplifier stages and vise versa?
Wouldn’t the amplifier be hindered due to “listening” through the transformer?
Where could I find supplies to make such a transformer, as I am guessing that it would need to be custom wound.
