Hi:

I am not using the Moondog 2A3 amps with the Lowther PM2As in Lowther-America's Medallion II cabinets -- so I can speak only of this combination. I have been more than satisfied with both of these products, and can easily suggest using the Lowthers in a rear-loaded horn -- such as a couple of those you mentioned. Horn cabinets being difficult to make properly without an accurate table saw, I chose mine in kit form from Lowther-America. It was a pleasure to do business with Tony Glynn (Lowther-America CEO!) and enjoyed putting the kit together. My choice for PM2As would not be a bass reflex cabinet; the drivers were designed to be used in horns. My feeling is that you would do very, very well with the Laurel/Lowther combo. You can't go wrong with a Welborne product; and this is something I'm in the process of saving for. You may find that 300Bs can provide more power than you will ever need, though it can be nice to have a few watts extra of headroom. Let the Lowthers break in patiently, and you will have plenty of tight, tunefull bass -- especially with the Laurels.
