The main difference between the 2A3L5 and the Moondogs is the output transformer, improvements made to the power supply and circuit tweaks to lower the overall distortion.

Thus the Moondogs will have a purer midrange, more dimensional soundstage and better bass control. We're not talking huge differences, but they are there.
