The window size can be widened by moving the speakers further apart and further back from the listener. Of course this will require a good size room....20' x 20' minimum.I currently have my Oris horns in a 14' x 18' area but I have them positioned on the long wall spread about 9' apart and about 8' from the listener. This provides a much better soundstage since the speakers are now further from the side walls. With this setup the sweet spot is only one person wide. The sound isn't bad (tonally)on either side of this sweet spot...but it's not the sweet spot and so the soundstage and imaging suffers. The soundstage in the sweet spot is very holographic and with some recordings I have heard instruments 5 to 6 feet outside of the speakers...almost surround sound!
I have done extensive listening to the Oris horns over the last year and have had them in all different positions and room locations and have found them to sound the best in the above described location with the speakers toed-in and aimed right at the listener.
My experience with similar front loaded horns, Edgar, Avantgarde, Exemplar, etc. is the same...toed-in, small sweet spot, the best sound. Of course your mileage may vary.
I personally don't care for big listening rooms. They're OK if you listen mostly to big band music and symphony but not so great IMO on more intimate material and therefore I prefer more of a nearfield listening setup.
