VTAF for SME3009?

I am using the SME3009 S2 improved and VTA adjustment can be a pain. I have been reading that apart from the on the fly VTA adjustment, the VTAF improves the sound also. So I am wondering if anyone has direct experience using the VTAF with SME3009? What were the improvements and was it easy to install?
