Wow! I've never run across the xp-7K's. I have owned, currently use, and auditioned a lot of the xp-series, and I find them to be very good....particularly paired with the Fisher amps. Anyway, if you at some point ever take off the grills it'd be great if you could post a picture. I'd like to see the speaker configuration. send me your email and I'll send you some reading material.
