Jonathan,Be smart.Forget The Fisher Doc if you ever want to see your gear again.Trust me.Also,you'd shit if you saw how customers gear is stacked in his basement.
Forget Ed Duda.He's an interesting and likeable person if you know knothing about electronics.Alot of double talk.While he is capable of doing good work,he tends to be a hack that wouldn't and doesn't think twice about modifying gear.Every circuit he looks at is *no good*.Worse than that,he'll drill/hack holes in your antique HiFi gear without a thought.He also has little regard for how another persons gear is stored at his place.I've been there too.I've seen it.
Try Paul at Bizzybee or Jim McShane.They both have respect for vintage gear.Maybe one or both would be interested.It would be worth the cost of shipping.
