Re: Removing Dual 701 from plinth

AFAIK, all Duals float on springs that fit in cutouts in the plinth. Ther are screws which are serve to imobilize the turntable on the plinth during transport. To remove the turntable (based on the 704 I have):
1. Remove platter (I think it just pulls off on the 701)
2. Secure the tonearm (you might want to remove the cartride to be safe)
3. Loosen the 3 screws and you'll notice that if they are raised the head of the screw can be tilted outwards (this will disengage it from the plinth since it is in a slot cutout).
4. Near each screw, lift the turntable while tilting the screw head outwards. Do this for each screw until you can lift the turntable off.

Its more difficult to describe that to do.
