Thanks, Jackson. I knew it was there for a reason but couldn't remember for what. Pete tells me there is a good chance that the model number was re-used later by Pioneer which would explain my confusion (or least partially). I'll continue my search. I've got two systems with a PL-55 and the smaller PL-A25 and identical SX-1050 receivers. I'm working to complete a third "transitional" system with the 560 powered by my hybrid Pioneer SX-D7000 receiver. That's why I liked the transitional blend of direct-drive, wood base but new metal top treatment of the PL-560.
