Re: It's the PAS preamp sometimes!

I did notice,that until I rebuilt the preamp, there was absolutely no speaker damping. Also, this pre-amp must have perfect tubes, or this problem does not completely go away.
I cannot say whether, or not the audio problem is harsh midrange. Whatever it is, though, it does give me a headache.
The amp may be partially at fault, because when I used my Fisher amp, as the pre-amp for the Dyna amp, I still got irritated.
And--when I used the Dyna pre-amp with my Fisher amp, well, that also grated on my nerves. Any way you do the combination, it sounds pretty good, though. Just doesn't like me, I guess. Go figure.
