1st vs second gen photo

Here is a photo I just took of my 1st gen Advents. The tweets have the date Sept 1973. These are original except for a recent refoam as they have been sitting right here since Sept 73.

The differences are
1. Tweeter is different (2nd gen ferrofluid cooled)
2. Woofer steel and missing masonite ring
3. Woofer placement higher up on second gen
4. Velcro blocks for grille cloth different shape on 2nd gen
5. Baffle black on 2nd gen, hardboard color on first.
On the walnut veneer ones...
6. Trim around edge has lip on first gen, smooth on second
7. grille cloth and trim around grille cloth square on 1st gen round on 2nd
So far as I am aware the cabinets are the same on first & second gen vinyl wrap (utility cabinet) versions.
Others may have additional items. This is like asking '57 Chevy collectors whether theirs has the one-piece or the three-piece front bumper (both exist and the difference is easily spotted if you know what to look for )

Rumor has it there are a few late '76 veneer Advents running around with 1st generation cabinets and the steel frame woofer and possibly new tweeter as well floating around. I have not seen an actual photo but I also do not doubt their existence.
