Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

The first radiance series came out in 1979

It consisted of 4 models, namely the 302, 502, 702 and 902. I bought a pair of 902VX (vinyl exterior) in 1980, list price was $400. The 4311B listed for $512. The 4311 were far and away the better speaker. The 902 (12", 3 way) were let down by the weak tweeter and faitly poor woofer. The bass was deep and powerful (huge box compared to the 4311) and they went really loud, but they were not worth anywhere near $400. I stuck with them for a year or so and then sold them to a raggae man who was amazed by them.

There were several generations after that and I guess you have one of them. They are a range that JBL would rather forget about and ever since the JBL's reputation has taken a dive. Sorry.
