A fully, and I mean FULLY restored Marantz 250M. Hooked it up and gave it a listen for about five hours yesterday.

There were several times when I actually thought it was my ST-70 playing. For a SS amp it maintained the same "textures" of my tube amp.

I had it fully restored with new transistors, diodes, the works. Holy cow is this one nice sounding amp. And I'm a tube guy saying this. The Latino ST-70 does have the edge on detail and micro dynamics. But PLEASE this is a subjective point and the difference is like the difference between the 2016 Ferrari and the 2015 Ferrari. Basically two absolutely fabulous amps.
