Looks like a good design. Huge power transformer is a plus. Not sure what lays under the audio transformers potted can. 12AT7 is a good sounding tube. 12AU7 phase invertors not the best sounding tube, but Brimar 13D5 solves that problem. Phase invertors are not near as sensitive as preamp tubes for sonics. Looks like a good value. I have heard Bob Latino amps of similar design and do not like the sound even with swapping tubes. So, this looks like a good alternate.

Of course I like DIY as I can specify the audio transformers among other components. Some Dynaco transformers are very good and new exact copies are available from Triode Electronics. Heyboer can build custom power transformers and are reasonable in price. I prefer choke input power supply design.
