I think when we compare vintage sound to new sound which is digital or was in many cases until the rebirth of LPs and turntables,that was what we were referring to. A tube doesn't conduct any different in 2016 than it did in 1956.We have made improvements in components and that's very apparent.Stacy demonstrated with the single driver speakers the midrange potential of the old Sherwood and this is going thru a phone camera.It will be interesting when he adds the ribbon tweeter on.It will be another step up yet again.
