I'm working on an 80's piece of equipment, came in original box, looks brand new and apparently was an early failure where someone tried to fix it, gave up and let it sit. So 2nd and 3rd problems are switches of the types shown in the pictures. Both switches are open, all contacts, feel fine mechanically, deoxit doesn't help. And again the inside and outside of the unit looks brand new. Looks like I can only put one image, so next posting shows the other switch type.
This is just weird. I can't come up with a plausible explanation other than coincidence. Maybe someone else has an idea? Or has seen something similar?
