Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

Good news

I contacted the seller of the 8b and he already sold it for $1500. I'm actually relieved. After the excitement stumbling onto a 8b I could afford (Audio Classics asking $6k) I got caught up in my 20 year desire to own one.

Truth be told my VTA ST-70 with Gold Lion KT-88's and EH 12BH7 in driver board - not much else is going to touch that. Every time I turn that amp on I think to myself "So where AM I going with another amp"? It's just nostalgic collecting and I just don't have the desire to do that any more.

Between my VTA ST-70, my precious Sherwood S-5000 and for a change up my NEW NAD C275BEE amp - where am I going?

However one day I may want to add just one vintage tube amp in my collection before I quite. That choice for vintage tubed amp is the Citation V. I'll look for one of those next year.
