The McShane changes bring out the potential design of each amp because you now have a power supply with a lower impedance and a lot of more joules of energy. This allows the famous circuits in the MACs,Citations, and Fishers to be able to operate at their full potential as dictated by the original design.Back in the day,it wasn't as big of an issue because you didn't have to worry about digital noise everywhere and the listening material of the day wasn't quite as dynamic or have the signal to noise ratios we have today. There was higher dynamic material but they didn't have the overall dynamic range of CDs and LPs that we have today.
