Yes, that's a good description of what I'm hearing. In my CD of Jazz at the Pawnshop, recorded live in a Swedish nightclub, the background voices, the clinking of glasses and jingle of silverware are all clearer. Yet, only the pre and power amps have been changed; so I think that speaks well for the speakers and CD player.
