I did not think they were a good match for a super detailed and/or bright speakers such as Acoustat or Kirksader...

For those, you really needed a product that Pass had complete control over. And wasn't restricted to being built to a modest price point.

I was quite happy using a Threshold Stasis with my Acoustats for many years...
