It is defined as, a person who displays exceptional intellectual ability or originality. Looking at Fred's designs,I would say he could fall into that category.His designs and layout are definitely original as far as implementing them into a 1970s SS receiver.He has done much more than that if you look at his designs on the website alone. I do agree that the word genius is overused on a daily basis however,Fred and Josh Stippich are two guys I would put in the very talented genius category..There are many more like Pete Millet,John Curl,Nelson Pass,and the list goes on.
