RE: Vintage Speakers For....

I'm fond of Soliloquy speakers linked to a vacuum tube based setting. I have soliloquy 5.0 which are "bookshelf" speakers and Soliloquy 6.3s which are floor standing. The 6.3's are in my main system paired with Conrad Johnson PV-10 preamp and CJ MV-55 amplifier (both vacuum tube based) and another pair in a home theater setting combined with a C-3 center speaker. I listen to classical, jazz, and rock in that order. In my situation, the mid-range for vocals is excellent, the bass is tight, and the highs are clear. In truth, you have a lot of good options from many brands, so take your time, do your research, and listen when you can.
