If it is just a cord, that shouldn't be hard, but as soon as you get past the power transformer, you can get zapped by the filter caps even when the unit is off. Of course, bleeding off the power is no big deal and his are probably not charged, but you have to know that you need to do. I do it every time. Why take chances.
