Sherwood S8000 questions

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

I know that there are 4 different versions of this receiver. Do they all sound the same? Is one reputedly the best model from a sonic standpoint? I am not clear as to all the differences inside, but for me it's the sound that matters. I don't have one but would like to consider getting one, but I am not sure which version I should get.
