Now we know why we get that instantaneous bright flash on initial turn-on

The common fallacy was the 12AX7A corrected this but this is obviously an issue but I haven't seen many filament failures on any 12AX7s or ECC83s.My favorite are the Telefunkens and the Amperex DD getter.I like the Mullards also but I never found them to be as durable as the Telefunkens.
