RE: those Dynaco (Seas) tweeters

I owned another pair of A-25s maybe 30 years ago. With those I added wood bracing inside the sidewalls, just above the woofer, then replaced ALL the stuffing. I also installed a new crossover cap and removed the mesh screens from the tweeters. At that time I could hear improved detail and extension in the stock tweeter without the screens.

Now in my elder years my hearing is lost above 8K. So I removed the mesh from the tweeters in my current pair based on past experience. Possibly I should have tested myself to see if I could still hear the difference but I didn't do a before and after comparison. Anyway, that is why I was asking about affects of a tweeter upgrade more for midrange performance. So hopefully the new Seas model will be positive in that respect.
