Dynaco answered your question around 1973 or 1974 when they came out with the A-25XL. They knew the A-25's tweeter dropped off before the range of human hearing so they came out with the A-25XL. The XL used the Seas H-86 tweeter instead of the H-87 that was used in the A-25. The XL was more efficant and had a slightly different grill that used Velcro so that you could take it off easier, and the grill was slightly bigger, you could see less of the wood veneer on the front of the speakers edge with the XL.
I had a question about taking the screens off the tweeters concerned about diffraction occuring but someone told me to leave them on for another reason beside rowdy pets or people of which I can't remember why...Mark Korda
