RE: My Vintage Monsters receivers - bigger and heavier is better

I have a Kenwood KR-9400, 120w/c monster.

This was the biggest amp I had until I got a Hafler power amp. I seem to have a lot of 60-100 watt amps (Dynaco, Hafler, Adcom).

This receiver has the preamp/power amp jumpers so I was able to listen to the amp only. I really liked it. I ended up using it for cassette rips I was doing for friends. Seems a little under used and probably will give it to a family member.

I do have ADS speakers hooked up to it.
looking for some jazz and a little libations - js
