I have a pair of McIntosh XL-10 loudspeakers (from the ol' Harvard, MA town dump, of course) in pretty hurtin' condition.
Decent Philips tweeters but otherwise pretty uninspiring looking -- and these are in sad shape. The other one is even worse -- as I recall (I didn't pull it out today), the PR in the other one is sans its accordion surround and the cardboard (if memory serves) "diaphragm" was just sitting inside the cabinet.
I am trying to decide if they're worth the effort to rehab -- even enough to give them a listen. Thoughts?
Specifically, I guess I am interested to see whether anyone has any experience/tips vis-a-vis rehabilitating the passive radiator?
all the best,
mrh
