RE: Playing a stereo record through one speaker only.

I bought a tone of Shaded Dogs, MLP, and 6-eyed Columbia records in the 80's and 90's, when everyone was dumping their record collections for CD. On the ones I really liked, I always tried to buy both mono and stereo, so that I could get different aspects of the performance. In well recorded music, I find that the mono's always sound more detailed and there are cases of famous stereo recording where I prefer the mono. Go figure!
