A Y-adapter would work fine, but...

sum the source, not the preamp outputs. Combining the signal from the phono cartridge's output into a single input on the preamp shouldn't harm it.

They are available inexpensively from many sources, both B&M and online in either a multi-lead format or a combined plug. You'll need a male to two female RCA flavor. Click here for an example of an inexpensive multi lead type. If you want something fancier, then go for something like this.
