Like a lot of things it's a trade off. The three way ADS speakers seem a little more amplifier dependent than the two way models. The two way models seem more forgiving to an amp's compromises. ADS was a truly unique company. To me their speakers from the 80's were rooted mostly in the east coast tradition with just a touch more life, dynamics and musicality than the traditional east coast designs.
