RE: Yep

Sadly I knew that but kept going at it. At the time that was the ONLY station I could get in. New Jersey is the black hole of culture. Or is that White hole that repeals culture????

The reason was that the other station in NJ had a lightening strike that took out their transmitter. So for almost five years it sounded like they were transmitting inside a 55 gallon drum. Weird reverb thing that made an awful irritating sound.

Any who! that was then and this is now. I tuned in that station in my work shop and holy cow - WQXR STILL sounds like crap. Luckily in my work shop I can get in a local classical FM station that is half decent.
