Not so, my friend! My current primary system electronics include a Rotel RTC-940AX tuner-preamp, Rotel RCD-971 CD player, and a Rotel RB-1050 dual mono power amp. It works really well with the SEAS woofer and tweeter in the Advent enclosure, giving a very smooth and natural sound with a wide soundstage and a good sense of depth. My only concern at this point is aging (mine and the equipment)as I'm 77 and the youngest piece in that stack of gear is from 2001-2. I'm getting to the point where I really don't want to mess with my gear, and I thought a new Outlaw receiver might be an answer.
