That sounds like a great setup. And I like how you collected pieces in the same model series. That is actually harder to do then it looks. For years I tried doing that with various brands. But in the end I found, like you have noticed, there was always a weak link. Yamaha's happen to be their speakers.
Enjoy the system. And BTW - you can keep your vintage audio card.
