RE: Scott 299B Popping after on for a while

Thanks for all the advice guys. Went through whole amp checking for bad solder joints, I retensioned the tube sockets. Nothing fixed the random popping sound. Finally I started hearing a whining sound from the same speaker that was popping. Turns out one of my Phase splitter (6BL8's) was going microphonic and obviously failing. I put in my original set that say HH Scott on them Made in France and the problem is gone. Th amp is back to its former glory.
