RE: Dynaco A25 and subwoofer

Hi Jerry,
I bet those custom made speakers sound great! I also have some home made 6" risers with a tilt, which work very well for many speakers. In fact, I always use them when I flip a pair of speakers on CL. Might as well show off the best performance possible.
I have had my stock but recapped Dynaco a 25's for about six or seven years now and, since they are so light, I have tried them all over the house in different rooms and at different heights. In every instance, as you say, the mid range coherence to die for. They are just amazing in that respect. In my workshop, I find that since I spend most of my time standing up, I like to have the sound a little higher than in the living room. So, this combination of shoulder height speakers with a 10 inch sub seems to fit the bill just right!
Carry on.
