Dynaco A25 and subwoofer

I have enjoyed these speakers immensely but still have missed the low bass response. I am currently driving them with a Marantz 2325 receiver which has pre-out jacks, and I have them placed on 24" platforms. So, I decided to hook up my little Paradigm 8 inch powered subwoofer to the Marantz and see what it sounded like.
The Paradigm does not have speaker wire jacks so the pre-out was my option, and I must say it sounds pretty darn good. I listened a little last night with and without the sub woofer and, especially on electric blues and rock, the punch provided by adding in the sub woofer at about 60 Hz is quite pleasing. The Dynacos have new capacitors, and with this added response, the sound is pretty well balanced and the coherence of the Dynacos is not diminished.
