Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

Back in 1976

The first Harley I ever owned was into the dealer's for service. I was riding it out of the dealer's, down a narrow city side street, with cars parked on both sides of the street.

I happened to notice the rear spark plug wire was loose, and without thinking, reached down to push it back onto the plug. It should have been insulated (maybe it was cracked, I dunno) but it lit me up like Jack Nicholson getting shock treatments in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

I'm still surprised I didn't dump it or crash into one of the many parked cars. As Alpha Al said, it was about 20,000 volts coming out of the coil. That'll get your attention, but quick.

Whew!
