RE: So do you know what 400 VDC feels like

I had read that DC, you don't necessarily let go like you do with AC. Over the years, zapped a number of times, highest voltage 15K off of TV anode, low current. Where I got zapped skin was weird for years. Hybrid cars which are few hundred volts DC then converts to drive brushless motors, so it is switched on and off. Lots of cautions in the service manuals, that indicate DC is more dangerous.
