RE: Sherwood 5000 owners: Where do you ground your phono?




I hear ya.

Maybe Mike can chime in about what he did to the S-5000 phono section. All I know is its really, really nice. It bested my Jolida JD-9 as well as my EAR 834. I'm not saying it's the best, but it's a pretty damn nice phono.

My S-5000 sounded really good immediately after I got it back from Mike, however, after I ran it in for a couple hundred hours the massive Russian Teflon coupling caps settled in and the sound quality took a very noticeable leap ahead.
