Never had the pleasure of hearing a pair of them, but would like to. If you want to use them with tubes make sure it is a pretty good sized push pull amp capable of at least 40-50 watts/ch. They are 84 dB so quite inefficient and they are a 4 ohm load, dipping to 3.6. So you need a pretty good tube amp if you want any volume. I guess in a small room at low levels you could get by with a 15 watt EL84 amp, but really, I think you are looking at a 40-50 watt amp minimum to really run them. One with good iron that is happy into a 4 ohm load. Have fun!
