Eico HF-52 trannies for Fisher 50A clone?

I know these are great trannys in the HF-52, and I have a pair waiting for their next assignment; same iron as on the HF-50. I'm intrigued with the Fisher 50A ; a triode amp, and really intrigued with the de Haviland version with KT-88s. I'm running efficient speakers, so triode won't hurt.... I know about the Gillespie mod for the HF-60, but would love to build some Fisher 50A clones with 6550s. Any thoughts on using the eico chicago iron for this?

Steve
