Home Vintage Asylum

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

I'd heard that they were B&O

But have no idea if they still are. I haven't heard a B&O cartridge since probably 1977. I'd love to hear a Soundsmith cartridge someday. Too bad that they don't offer 30 day free trials, like some speaker and wire manufacturers do.

And I'm saying that tongue in cheek. I know how difficult that would be, especially with something as fragile as a cartridge. Still, buying a $1000 cartridge based on nothing but a review or two really makes me uncomfortable. Nothing against Sounsdmith, it's that way everywhere. I had to buy my Denon 103R, Dynavector DV-20 XL, Audio-Technica oc9 mk2, and Zu 103R exactly that way. The OC-9 was the only one I sold.

I always enjoy your posts, by the way!
