RE: Black Goop On My Tubes

A box of q-tips(r) and some 99% Isoporopanol and an afternoon, and you can remove all of it-
Good ventilation - you do not need to inhale the fumes...
you will have the unit to the way it was before the tube dampers were installed-

One VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Polystyrene capacitors can be very adversely affected by Solvents - the stronger the solvent- the worse the affect (It dissolves the Polystyrene)


(Isopropanol- IPA- Isopropal alcohol - rubbing alcohol)
