Jsjazz, your Kenwood's mic input is probably mono, with its' own pre-amp circuit. If so, you'll probably only get one channel, which will be unpleasantly distorted from too much gain. Or so it's been with every vintage receiver equipped with mike input which has passed through moi's audio arsenal. Be it Kenwood, Pioneer, or Sansui. Sometimes that mike feed will only be in one channel (Kenwood KR-5150 has two separate mono mike inputs for left & right channels). Makes for a unique-sounding vintage-quality clean channel with bass and/or guitar, too. As long as you use instrument speakers. Most stereo speakers won't be able to withstand that intense aural abuse. Sony's legendary ICF-2010 also sounds exquisite through vintage mike inputs. 73s para Sactown
